Dragsters, ATV’s and paddle-tires on bikes with expansion chambers separated from the faster and larger air-cooled buggy’s, dragsters and tube chassied “Jeep” replicas. The staging lanes had a steady stream of Jr. With heavy-duty farm equipment supplied by motorsports legend and local mega-farmer Larry Minor, his crew repeatedly groomed a finely manicured 300-foot sand and dirt dragstrip and shutdown area all day and late into the night over the three days of racing and timed runs. Saturday was cloudy with off and on light drizzle, but the smell of 2-stroke and racing fuel out on the riverbed behind a busy SoCal IndianCasino told us we’d arrived at the right place.
