I don't mind if the hotel wants a certain amount of money but stop trying to be sneaky an put the total cost in the advertised price of the room. Back in 2008 I was first surprised with a resort fee while checking in at the palace station, after that experience I swore to never book a hotel that charges a resort fee. After hearing about the resort fee I will try to cancel an book somewhere closer to the strip since their already tryin to get more money out of me. I agree what a shame, the southpoint was always my number 1 hotel to stay at in Vegas from back when it was called the southcoast, in fact I have a room booked for this May.
The resort fee includes: in room Wi-Fi, fitness center access, local and toll free in room phone calls, boarding pass printing, airport shuttle (based on availability), 24-hour complimentary valet parking and a casino funbook.
Beginning Maa resort fee of $12.50 plus tax for a total of $14.00 per room per night will be charged.
